Documents, proposals and attachments

Proposals, quotations, reports, drawings, network diagrams and other documents we send are confidential. They are prepared for the named recipient and the purpose stated in them, and should be shared only with the people who need them for that purpose.

Network diagrams, device inventories, configurations and access details describe how a system is protected. Treat them as sensitive security information: store them securely and do not post or forward them outside your organization.

Your data and documentation of your systems belong to you. Our scripts, templates and custom configurations are Engineer Austin's intellectual property, licensed for your use while you are a client. Terms are set out in a written agreement.

Engineering documents

Engineer Austin, LLC is a Texas Registered Engineering Firm F‑15739. A document is a final engineering document only when it bears the seal of the licensed Professional Engineer who prepared it or under whose direct supervision it was prepared. Drafts and documents marked preliminary or for review are not final and are not for construction, bidding or permit purposes. IT, network and technology deliverables, such as assessments, reports, configurations and network diagrams, are not sealed engineering documents unless they bear that seal.

Protect yourself from impersonation

Criminals sometimes send messages that look like they come from a trusted vendor. Before acting on an unexpected message that appears to come from us and asks you to change payment details, buy gift cards, share a password or code, or install software, call us at (512) 481-2710 using a number you already know rather than one in the message.

Please do not send passwords, multi-factor codes or other secrets by email or text message. If we need access to a system, we arrange a secure way to get it. Forward anything suspicious to support@engineeraustin.com.
