Software for managed service providers

EA Command: Run Your MSP from One Screen

Tickets in one tool, time in another, quotes in a spreadsheet and invoices somewhere else: that is how billable hours go missing. EA Command puts service tickets, team scheduling, time tracking, quoting, invoicing and scopes of work in one system. We built it to run our own managed service business, we use it every day, and now we offer it to other small MSPs.

The problems we built it to solve

Billable time slips away

A quick fix never gets logged, a site visit is entered from memory at the end of the week, and the invoice goes out short. Small leaks add up to real money every month.

Quotes and invoices drift from the work

The quote said one thing, the technician did another and the invoice was typed up from scratch. Clients notice, and every mismatch costs you a phone call.

Too many tools, too much retyping

Separate subscriptions for ticketing, scheduling, quoting and billing, none of which talk to each other, and someone in the office copying numbers between them.

What it does

One system from the first call to the paid invoice

  • Service tickets. A live board of every open request, with status, priority, owner and the full history in one place.
  • Team scheduling. Technicians, site visits and project work on one schedule, so dispatch, the technician and the office see the same day.
  • Time tracking. Start a timer on the ticket, or add time after the fact. Your rounding rules are applied automatically, and finalized hours stay put.
  • Quoting. Build quotes from your own catalog of parts, services and products, keep every revision, and send clean PDFs with plain names your clients understand.
  • Invoicing. Turn tickets and accepted quotes into invoices in a few clicks, with the time and materials already on them, and a record of exactly what each client was sent.
  • Scopes of work. The scope, the quote, the work and the bill stay connected, so what you promised and what you charged line up.
  • Clients and contacts. Every client's sites, contacts, tickets, quotes and invoices on one record.
  • Teams and permissions. Decide who can see, edit, approve and bill, and keep separate parts of your business apart.
What changes for you

Less office work, more billed work

Capture the time you already worked

Time is logged on the ticket while the work happens, so it reaches the invoice instead of being forgotten.

Quote faster

Your catalog, your prices and your past quotes are a click away, so a quote takes minutes instead of an evening.

Invoice the day the work is done

No retyping from notes or spreadsheets. The invoice is built from the ticket, and the client sees the same names and numbers the quote showed.

Everyone works from the same picture

Technicians, dispatch and billing see the same tickets and schedule. When two people edit the same record, the portal warns them instead of letting one quietly overwrite the other.

Why EA Command

Written by an MSP, for MSPs

Most MSP software is written by vendors who have never worked a service desk, and priced and built for providers many times your size. EA Command was written by a working managed service provider to run its own business: our custom software team built it for our own managed IT operation. Every screen exists because our technicians, dispatchers and billing staff needed it, and it keeps improving because we use it every day.

Engineer Austin is Texas Registered Engineering Firm F‑15739, and we hold our own software to the same standard as the client systems we manage.

Made for small MSPs

  • Sized for small teams, without enterprise features you will never use.
  • Onboarding and support from the people who built it, not a ticket queue at a vendor.
  • Your feature requests go to people who run an MSP too, and can be scoped as additions.
  • Multi-factor sign-in, role-based access, encrypted connections, regular backups and your data kept separate from everyone else's, on secured infrastructure we operate ourselves.

FAQ

EA Command, answered plainly

Is EA Command a PSA?

Yes. It covers what MSPs usually buy a professional services automation (PSA) platform for: tickets, scheduling, time, quoting, invoicing and scopes of work, in one system built for a small service business.

Do you actually use it yourselves?

Every day. Engineer Austin runs its service desk, scheduling, quoting and billing on EA Command. New features are used in our own operation before anyone else sees them.

Is it a fit for a small MSP?

That is who it is for: providers with a handful of technicians up to a growing team, and IT consultancies or field-service companies that work the same way. The demo is the quickest way to tell whether it fits how you work.

Is our data kept separate from everyone else's?

Yes. Each organization's tickets, clients and invoices are kept apart, access is controlled by role, connections are encrypted and the data is backed up.

How is it priced?

By written proposal: licensing, hosting and support are sized to your team and how you want it run. We do not publish prices; ask for a demo and we will follow up with a proposal.

Can it be changed to fit how we work?

Often, yes. Because we wrote it, we can scope additions such as a new report, an integration or a workflow change, and quote them in writing before any work starts.

Start with a written assessment.

Tell us what you have and what is not working. Someone from our team, not a salesperson, replies within one business day by email or phone, and brings in our engineer when your request needs one. The assessment report is yours to keep whether or not you buy anything.
