Services

IT, network and infrastructure services

Engineer Austin, a licensed engineering firm in Georgetown, Texas, designs, builds, documents and supports the technology small and mid-sized organizations run on. Our services fall into four groups. Every one is assessed before anything is bought, documented so it can be handed over, and delivered by our team to house standards set by our licensed Professional Engineer.

Baseline

Always included for managed clients

Every Managed Service Program carries the same baseline. Nothing on this list is an add-on. The list is revised as the field moves, and your quarterly review tells you what changed.

  • Remote monitoring of workstations, servers and managed network devices
  • Operating-system, application and firmware patching in scheduled windows with notice
  • Endpoint protection deployed and managed on every covered machine
  • Multi-factor authentication enforced from account creation
  • Email authentication (SPF, DKIM and DMARC) on your domain
  • Backup monitoring, verification and regular test restores
  • Maintained device inventory, IP addressing, diagrams and configuration records
  • Quarterly business reviews with a technology roadmap and budget guidance
  • Annual written infrastructure assessment ahead of your budget cycle

Not sure where to start?

For an existing site, start with an assessment. We visit, inventory what you have, save the as-found configuration and write up what should be retained, upgraded, reassigned, repurposed, replaced or retired. The report is yours whether or not you buy anything, and it tells you which of these services you actually need. See how we work for the full sequence from first visit to steady-state support.

Planning a new building or renovation? Bring us in at the design phase, so cabling, Wi-Fi and network infrastructure are designed into the plans before construction starts. Or start with our free checklist, Questions to ask your IT provider (PDF).

Civil and municipal engineering is a separate practice of the same firm: on-call City Engineer services, plan and plat review, drainage, water and wastewater, floodplain administration and grant-funded project administration for Central Texas cities and districts. Start with a written assessment.

Tell us what you have and what is not working. Someone from our team, not a salesperson, replies within one business day by email or phone, and brings in our engineer when your request needs one. The assessment report is yours to keep whether or not you buy anything.
